Red, White, & Tuna comes to HRT!!
The much-anticipated third installment of the "Tuna" comedy trilogy is finally coming to the HRT stage!
"Red, White & Tuna" takes the audience through another satirical ride into the hearts and minds of the polyester-clad citizens of Texas ' third smallest town.
Along with Tuna's perennial favorites, some new "Tuna" denizens burst into the Fourth of July Tuna High School class reunion. This sets the stage for a show that promises fireworks and fun from the land where the Lions Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies.
Audiences who saw the last show will remember Bertha and Arles dancing at the end of "A Tuna Christmas."
There are questions remaining from the last production, such as "Did the romance blossom? Has Didi Snavely received any 'cosmic' communication from R.R.'s UFO? Did Stanley make his fortune in the Albuquerque taxidermy business? What are Helen Bedd and Inita Goodwin up to in the diner?"
In this production, all 20 characters will be played by Dennis McCool and Rick Stephenson with 48 costume changes
They have performed together on the HRT and Campbell University stages for over 17 years in many dramas and comedies, including the Tuna series and "The Odd Couple".
In addition the wives of the actors - Kat McCool and Margie Stephenson - will be dressers or "Tuna Helpers" for the show.
The McCools live in Hope Mills and the Stephensons reside in Dunn.
